  6. a plain pencil, wooden or mechanical

  7. wet wipes, for your hands when you are finished

Here is a link below to an instructional video on the sketching of a vulnerable, beautiful piece of figurative art. I approach the whole idea from a healing perspective, with respect and even awe. I hope you will let yourself take time to drop down into your body, out of that "overthinking mind" and into the state of being that only comes about when we meditatively make physical things in the physical world. Suspend all judgement, whether that be judgement of your body, or judgement of your art-making. There is no right or wrong way to do this.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made. Enjoy.

Take time to minister to your own God-given limbic system by creating a "healing, signature scent". Then use it: add it to bath salts, add drops to fractionated coconut oil and use as a moisturizer, and also diffuse it, breathe it in, especially when you are reading Scriptures, praying, and doing any of the art journaling exercises.

Inside the following “creative embodiment” video, you will learn how to create a layered fragrance with top, middle, and bottom notes…what a beautiful thought, as you are “in the middle” of a long process. Let’s learn how to help your nervous system stay as regulated as possible, as you navigate your way through.

It won't take long for the scent you create here in “Unmade Love” to take you straight to a calmer state of mind. In the meantime (which is another way of saying “in this middle-time”) these exercises will distract you from some of the hard parts of your transition into healing.

Making physical things in the physical world (as opposed to screen time) is a powerful tool in your toolbox for the care and maintenance of your soul.
