Sheila Atchley
Sheila is a self-taught artist who did not begin her art career until almost age 50! Today, her art is found in every state in the US, and almost every country in the world! She’s exhibited in some of the south’s best juried art shows, and has written and launched several comprehensive online art classes, reaching many hundreds of learners. She’s taught art and creative workshops in NC, TN, VT, AL, GA, and as far away as Italy. With her heart for women “in the middle”, she continues to inspire and to teach, with new things on the horizon!

I own a piece of Sheila's original art. It's not because I've attended a workshop, listened to a teaching, or even met her personally. I own the piece of summer meadow rendered by her hand because it reminds me of her words and spirit. They are words that overflow with a love for Jesus and a love for people. Sometimes they are words that challenge, but they always uplift. The painting hangs above my desk, the place that holds my daily tasks that can so quickly cause me to forget what really matters.
