Learn About Lectio Divina

Create an Isaiah 60 Prayer Painting

A free class for anyone who wants to encounter Scripture with their heart, imagination, and hands.

Together, we will practice a soulful form of “lectio divina”: simply listening slowly to Isaiah 60, and allowing the words to become color, mark, movement, and meaning.

Then, we’ll create a luminous mixed-media piece inspired by the promise:

Arise, shine; for thy light is come.”

No art experience is needed. This is not about making perfect art. It is about letting the Word of God become color, movement, beauty, and prayer in your hands. It’s about an artful kind of embodiment.

A small painting.

A sacred pause.

A way to practice receiving the light.

Use what you have to either paint “Isaiah 60” alongside me for the Lectio Divina free course, or another passage of your own choice, with nature/water/mountains/trees as its subject, with the colors you love!

Just paint it onto a canvas, or if you want to follow along with me exactly, paint into a tray with sealed sides/edges (round or square) and be ready to do the resin pour-over together.

** tray and resin are completely optional. You do not need them to paint Isaiah 60 with me.
