If you follow me on Instagram, you know! There’s a gazillion reels of this place. We walk it almost every morning. This is a rendering of our “Mimi’s Meadow” in autumn. This meadow is actually a city park, flanked by a small river (large stream?) where anyone can drop in a canoe and paddle. We jokingly call it “our land”, because in a way, it is.
Early October finds Mimi’s Meadow lush with goldenrod and its trees with leaves turning beautiful colors. The lower right corner gives you a glimpse of the path we walk every morning.
The older I get, the more I know I will always treasure the memories my husband and I make each time we lace up our sneakers and head to this meadow to sweat, pray, and process life as we talk and laugh (and sometimes cry) together. I’m emotional just writing this for you!
