Original Art (framed): "Keep Warm"

This piece of original art features something called “found poetry”, with an ink sketch and watercolor wash. The inspiration is the Winter Solstice. In the past, winter has, some years, been a difficult time for me. “SAD” (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is real. I bought a light box, and that has helped some.

But now, I have a lovely, large vintage Preway wood burning fireplace. The difference in my outlook is radical. This found poetry and sketch echo this beautifully. It features an ink sketch of a mantel, and found poetry, cut from antique book pages.

Try it: cut various phrases from book pages. Mix them all up, and pick out a few, randomly. Place them together, and see what your subconscious mind creates.
