Is it garland? Or twinkle lights? This piece makes any room celebratory. I’m not kidding - it is a painting that shifts the whole atmosphere of a room, and is one of my very favorites of all of 2023.

The three bands of luminous, lit color you see across the bottom are bands of gold leaf - SO beautiful, but a bear to photograph - sorry! Those gold leaf bands shift with the changing of the light throughout the day, sometimes looking like matte swaths of color, sometimes looking lit from within, giving you a different painting at different times.
