12x12" Canvas Print: "Cades Cove Church"

I follow a very specific formula for these beautiful canvas wraps: I take the price of the original when it sold, and then set the canvas wrap at 1/3 of that price! So you get all the beauty of the original for 1/3 of the price.

After the fires in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Gatlinburg area) my husband and I went to Cades Cove. We needed to reassure ourselves that everything is - eventually - going to be okay.

This is the result. I've always been drawn to the old Primitive Baptist Church in the cove, but never like I was this day.

This began as an image transfer of my own original photography, taken that day. Then, I rendered over that in water soluble pencil, graphite, watercolors and gesso until the image transfer was all but obliterated. Lastly, I scanned that, and added some finishing touches digitally (adding texture, removing smudges and cropping out some tourists).

For a small upcharge, I will go in and hand paint texture onto your canvas wrap, using my “secret sauce” - a clear, textured glaze that follows all the brush strokes of the original. The result is something that, even when you touch it, you will have a hard time telling the original from the canvas print! Just choose that option from the drop-down menu!
